Affiliates


An affiliate, in this context, is a site that sends visitors through recommendations or adverts to your site.  Affiliates receive commission either on the click-throughs or sales achieved.   Some affiliate sites are set-up just to act as an affiliate for a range of supplier sites.

The immediately obvious advantage is the increase in the number of inbound links.  Also, of course, is the sales that will result from the arrangement.
