CPC


This is a Google acronym for Cost Per Click.  

The cost is, of course, initially dependent on your bid but it may be lowered if you outbid everyone and the next highest bid is more than 1p less than yours when Google will reduce the charge to 1p more than that next highest bid.

If you bid £1.00 and the next highest bid when the ad is shown is 50p then you’ll be charged 51p, not £1.00.  The CPC may vary each time the ad is shown so the CPC is an average.
